Charlie, whose Jockey Club name is 'Show Sliding Home,' is an 11-year-old racehorse who ran his last race in mid-October. As a true 'War Horse,' Charlie competed in 97 races and had a long, successful career, showing incredible heart and determination every step of the way. I adopted him from Stoney Hollow Horse Rescue in November, determined to give him the time, care, and training he needs to transition into a new life beyond the racetrack. Our goal is to compete together at the RRP (Retired Racehorse Project) Championships in October 2026—a program dedicated to helping retired racehorses find new careers and avoid the tragic fate that too many face when they leave the track.
